Our Story :
Mr. Rajesh Hegde Founder and Sole Proprietor of ORCID The Vanilla Company. Fifteen years ago, inspired by the family legacy and driven by a desire to make a difference, I (Mr.Rajesh Hegde) embarked on a remarkable journey. It was more than a business venture. With a heart brimming with passion and a mind teeming with ideas, the company was born. The vision was clear: to create a sustainable future not only for the family but also for the entire community of farmers
At the heart of the company's mission lay a deep sense of community. I envisioned a future where every farmer's toil was respected and rewarded justly. The company became a beacon of hope for the family and fellow farmers. Through collaborative efforts, innovative techniques, and a commitment to ethical practices, the company started to flourish.
Sustainable Growth: Cultivating Vanilla, Cultivating Lives
The company's growth was not just measured in terms of profits but in the smiles it brought to the faces of the farmers. By introducing sustainable farming practices, ethical sourcing, and fair trade, the company uplifted the entire community. Farmers were educated, empowered, and given the tools to enhance the quality of their produce. This empowerment wasn't just economic; it was transformative, instilling a newfound confidence in every farmer involved
Seventeen years have passed since that humble beginning, and the company stands as a testament to what passion, dedication, and community can achieve. The aroma of vanilla, once confined to the family orchards, now permeates the air, symbolizing not just a spice but a legacy of flavor and compassion. The journey continues, with the company remaining steadfast in its commitment to family, farmers, and the flavors that bring joy to the world. The future is as fragrant as the vanilla blooms, filled with endless possibilities and the promise of a better, more sustainable tomorrow.
In our relentless pursuit of sustainability, we have forged meaningful partnerships that reach the very roots of our business – the farmers. Collaborating with three farmer groups comprising over 1500 dedicated individuals, we've embarked on a transformative journey toward ethical and organic vanilla cultivation
I've pioneered innovative solutions to enhance the quality of our vanilla vines. Teaming up with leading agricultural experts, we partnered with a renowned laboratory to produce tissue culture disease-free vanilla vines. These meticulously nurtured vines are not only robust but also free from diseases, ensuring a healthy yield and sustainable farming practices.
We have employed dedicated field officers, experts in their craft, who work closely with our farmers. These officers serve as mentors, educating farmers about the latest advancements in farming techniques, sustainable harvesting methods, and environmental conservation. Through workshops, on-site training, and continuous support, our farmers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to cultivate vanilla responsibly , And all our farmers have the organic certification already. So they are well trained and knowledgeable . We already applied for organic certification with Lacon (ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION BODY UNDER NPOP) Also we help the farmer's child to educate them if they are facing financial problems.
At the heart of our vanilla bean processing company lies a steadfast commitment to sustainability and traceability. These core values are not just buzzwords for us; they are the guiding principles that define our every action and decision. As our valued client seeks insight into our sustainability and traceability approach, we are proud to offer a transparent view into the meticulous processes that set our vanilla apart.
Sustainability: Nurturing Nature, Empowering Communities

This eco-friendly approach preserves the biodiversity of the land, ensuring a sustainable environment for future generations.
2. Empowering Farmers: Sustainability, for us, is not just about the environment; it's also about the people. By partnering with farmer groups and providing them with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed for sustainable farming, we empower local communities. Fair trade practices and equitable partnerships ensure that the benefits of our business extend directly to the farmers, enhancing their livelihoods and fostering economic stability.

We maintain detailed records, including the specific farm of origin, cultivation practices. This comprehensive documentation ensures that our vanilla can be traced back to its exact source, guaranteeing authenticity and quality
We support lion-tailed macaque . It is an endangered species of monkey that is native to the Western Ghats in India. They are also known as wander-loos or old world monkeys. Karnataka has the world's largest population of lion-tailed macaques, but now its population is decreasing (Endangered). The northernmost population of the species is in Sirsi-Honnavara, Karnataka. The State Government has established the Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary, an unprotected reserve forest, to conserve the wildlife in Karnataka's southern region, where many of these macaques reside. Through the government we are just doing our little service to protect Lion-tailed macaques by providing funds , creating awareness among people.
